Password: Stored securely in hashed format (never stored in plain text)
Resume files and text: Uploaded by users to generate personalized interview answers
Cover letter files and text: Uploaded by users for personalized answer generation
Executive summary: User-provided text about their professional background
Profile data: Stored to personalize AI-generated responses
Authentication tokens: Stored locally in Chrome storage to maintain your login session

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information exclusively to:

Authenticate your account and maintain your login session
Generate AI-powered interview answers based on your resume, cover letter, and job descriptions
Store your profile information for future use
Provide personalized assistance with job application forms
Improve our services (using anonymized, aggregated data only)

3. Data Storage

Your data is stored in the following locations:

Supabase: User profiles, resume files, cover letter files, and authentication data are stored securely in Supabase's cloud database and storage
Chrome Local Storage: Authentication tokens are stored locally on your device using Chrome's secure storage API
Backend API: Processes AI requests temporarily (data is not permanently stored on the backend)

4. Data Security

We take security seriously and implement the following measures:

Passwords are hashed using secure algorithms (bcrypt) before storage - we never see or store your plain text password
All data transmission uses HTTPS encryption
API endpoints are secured with authentication tokens
Row Level Security (RLS) policies ensure users can only access their own data
Authentication tokens expire automatically for security

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to provide our functionality:

AI Services: We use AI services (via our backend) to generate interview answers. No user data is shared directly with AI providers - all processing happens through our secure backend

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We only share data:

With service providers (Supabase, Vercel) necessary to provide our services
When required by law or to protect our rights
With your explicit consent

7. Your Rights

You have the following rights regarding your data:

Access: You can access your personal data through the extension interface
Deletion: You can delete your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us or using the extension's sign-out feature
Correction: You can update your profile information at any time through the extension
Data Portability: You can request a copy of your data by contacting us

8. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal purposes.
